This can be done by booking a table at the pizzeria restaurant La Vecchia Signora, enjoying a pizza or one of the many delicacies the menu offers you, and you will quickly feel in an alley in Naples, or on the seafront in the Costa Smeralda, or in the beautiful Tuscan hills.
Achille Melis, chef and owner, has a secret: he has brought all the ingredients that make his pizzas and Italian dishes unique to Copenhagen.
The wooden oven took Achille with him to Denmark, to prepare a pizza you need good flames which bake the dough well, which leave the ingredients soft and tasty, and which make it aromatic and easy to digest.
The experts also recognized the quality: La Vecchia Signora has been honored by the prestigious guide Gambero Rosso among the few "Best Pizzerias in Copenhagen", 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 , an award added to the "Q" mark and "Certification of Hospitality in Italian Restaurants in the World ”which they won in 2014.

Achille Melis is proud to have ensured her guests in Denmark excellent dishes in the best Italian regional tradition for 20 years.
In addition to leading La Vecchia Signora, Achille is also the head chef for his excellent Restaurant San Giorgio, one of the most exclusive restaurants in Copenhagen.
The wine list is exquisite, the taste and smell are teased and you feel relegated to the Italian vineyards and the experience is completed by a memorable lunch or dinner at La Vecchia Signora or Ristorante San Giorgio.
The owners, Achille Melis and Olimpia Grussu, both from Sardinia, are considered to be among the best Italian chefs in Denmark since 1980.
La Vecchia Signora opened in 1996 and together with their Ristorante San Giorgio, in Rosenborggade 7, which opened in 1985, they offer a sophisticated Italian gastronomy with the taste and aroma of local and national dishes.
